A thank you note from the board president:
The O'Fallon Community Food Pantry received 2,316 family requests for food in 2004, with meals and personal care items provided for 7,817 adults and children.
Fifty volunteers from O'Fallon and Shiloh churches made this possible by staffing the pantry, shopping, sorting food and serving on the board.
The residents of O'Fallon and Shiloh have been very responsive to the Boy Scout drive, postal drive and various school and church collections. This makes it possible to give a wide variety of food and personal care items to those who have need.
Now in its 13th year, the food pantry anticipates a growing demand for its services with increased unemployment and a slower economy.
Many thanks to all who helped make 2004 a successful year.
Phyllis Allen
