In March of 2000 I signed up for AT&T @Home Digital Cable Service for my home office.  And in November 2001, Charter.Net assumed control of this service.  With upload speeds around 128kbps and downloads up to 20 times faster than a 56kbps modem, I'm, well, delighted with the increased productivity.

At about $25 more per month than typical 56K Analog Modem Service, we've found it to be quite cost effective.  Add an inexpensive and easy to configure network router and the whole family can surf, work, email, game and download all at the same time, independently from their PC's without tieing up a single phone.
